Sunny slopes and well-exposed vineyards just outside San Gimignano shape Montemorli’s style. Everything begins in our vineyards and in our underground cellar dating back to 1756, one of the oldest in the area. The cellar was dug in 1756 by the Olivetan monks. After a long search in the monks’ archives, the documents are kept on the farm, as a testament to Montemorli’s long history.
For seven generations, we have grown native Tuscan grapes and intermational varieties, overseeing each stage – from the vineyards to bottling – so origins remain clear and the character of place shines through in every glass.
